About Us

A calm yard with room to grow.

Thornvale Riding Centre sits on a quiet farm in the fictional village of Thornvale, surrounded by rolling fields and bridleways.

Founded in 2012, Thornvale was built around a simple idea: riding should feel approachable, well taught, and rooted in excellent horse care.

The centre welcomes children taking their first lessons, adults returning to the saddle, and liveries looking for a professional yard with a personal touch.

With indoor and outdoor arenas, sympathetic schoolmasters, and an experienced team, Thornvale is a place to learn, progress, and enjoy time with horses.

Our Facilities

Everything riders and horses need.

From qualified tuition to full-care livery and regular clinics, Thornvale is set up for riders who want quality without the fuss.

Testimonials

What our riders say.

Illustrative feedback from riders, parents and liveries — names and details are fictional.

My daughter was nervous before her first lesson, but Eleanor paired her with a lovely pony and had her trotting happily within half an hour. The yard feels welcoming and professionally run.

Rachel M.

I came back to riding in my forties after a long break. The adult beginner course was exactly what I needed — patient instruction, no pressure, and beautiful hacking once I grew in confidence.

Peter W.

We moved our horse here for livery and have been delighted. The yard is well kept, the team are knowledgeable, and the hacking from the gate is wonderful.
